Scenes From the Chronicles:

Just as you were struck by the vivid imagery of the scenes with the Giant of Mount St. Michael in the texts of Geoffrey of Monmouth and Wace, it shouldn't surprise you that medieval illuminators and illustrators found this scene an interesting one to use:
