Advanced Imaging Facility

The Advanced Imaging Facility is operated through the Division of Science and Technology at the College of Staten Island. It is a free facility for users at CSI and other CUNY schools. Outside researchers may also use the facility for a fee. Located in Building 6S Room 006, the facilty hosts an Atomic Force Microscope, a Confocal Microscope, two Transmission Electron Microscopes, a Scanning Electron Microscope, and a Live Cell Imaging System. Instruments for tissue processing include a Tissue Processor, a regular Ultramicrostome and a Cryo-ultramicrostome. Offline image processing using Imaris is also available.
