Group Study Rooms
The CSI Library provides five group study rooms located on the 2nd Floor that are available for two-hour bookings by CSI students working in groups of two to six. Group study rooms can be booked at the Document Center, Rm. 215.
Guidelines for Use
- Bookings
Group study rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis. A group member must present a valid CSI ID Card to the Document Center in order to receive a Reservation Card and Room Key. At least one other group member must also be present. - Occupancy
Rooms can be used by groups of no less than two and no more than six individuals. No more than one room can be used by a single group at a given time. - Length of Booking
Rooms are booked for two hours. Bookings can be renewed at the end of the 2 hour period provided that there are no other groups waiting to use the room. - Noise and Disturbances
Although we ask that you close the door when the room is in use, this does not soundproof the room! Group conversations must not disturb other library users. - Food and Drink Policy
No food is allowed anywhere in the library. Drinks must be in sealable or lidded containers. - Responsibilities of the Registrant
The student registering for the group is responsible for the Reservation Card, Room Key, and good condition of the room and must occupy the room for the length of the booking. Dispose of all trash, return all furniture to its original arrangement, and lock the door on the way out. - Returning Keys
Keys are non-transferable and may not be taken from the library. Keys must be returned to the Document Center 5 minutes before the expiration of the booking and within 15 minutes of the library's closing. A fine of $10.00 will be charged for every 15 minutes the key is late. A fine of $25.00 will be charged for a lost key.
Violation of these guidelines will result in the loss of group study room privileges.
