Logging In to your new Blackboard 6.3 courses

Fall 2006 Blackboard Courses Available Only Through CUNY Portal

Starting in Fall 2006, http://classweb.csi.cuny.edu will no longer be used for CSI courses. From now on, courses can be accessed via the CUNY Portal. Instructions below.

Blackboard Inc. has recently ceased support of our version of Blackboard (5.5). In order to provide continued access to Blackboard, CSI will be migrating to CUNY's Blackboard server prior to the Fall 2006 semester. This migration, in addition to providing the additional features of Blackboard 6.3, will also present uniform access for all users through the CUNY portal. No more classes will be taught on this Blackboard 5.5 installation, though your content from old classes will remain on CSI's Blackboard server. (Faculty can learn how to migrate their course content to the new server with CELT's Blackboard 6.3 Tutorials)

In order to access the new Blackboard 6.3, login to the CUNY Portal: https://portal.cuny.edu/portal/site/cuny/index.jsp?epi-content=LOGIN

Once you're logged in, you can get to Blackboard via the link on your CUNY Portal "My Page," which you'll be brought to automatically:

After logging in to Blackboard (with the same username and password that got you into the Portal), click the link denoting your role (Student, Faculty, Staff) next to College of Staten Island.

From there, you will be presented with your "My CSI" page in Blackboard, which should list all of your classes.
