Why consider a Master’s degree in NSMRDD?

For many traditional career options in science, a Ph.D. is required.  However, there are several reasons why students may prefer to enroll in the College of Staten Island’s multidisciplinary Master’s degree program.  Graduates will have career options in private or state-supported facilities related to developmental disabilities, clinical laboratories, the pharmaceutical industry, community colleges, and city, state, and federal governments.  At CSI, students can combine initial work toward an advanced degree with job and/or family responsibilities.  Furthermore, complete tuition waiver will be available for deserving students.   The degree allows for flexible exploration of a given field of interest with the possibility for short-term completion through the Master’s degree or continuation of studies through the Ph.D.  Finally, qualified students have the option of continuing their advanced studies for a Ph.D. degree in our allied Doctoral Program under the auspices of The City University of New York Graduate School and University Center.
